Niagara Falls and the surrounding area are synonymous with images of romantic getaways. Situated just north of the great falls is the quaint town of Lewiston, where you'll find the Piper's Village Inn. Set in a Victorian-era home, the inn has six rooms between the main home and the carriage house; each has cable television and air-conditioning. The inn also provides free bike use (with advanced registration) to enjoy a scenic ride along the Niagara River. If you're really adventurous, hike through Niagara Gorge and take a Whirlpool Jet Tour down the River.

Within driving distance of the popular tourist areas of Lake George and Saratoga Springs, New York's Washington County borders the nearby state of Vermont.
