Pine View Resort is a luxury complex near Lake Shafer in Monticello. The facility offers 76 rooms, and is a 10-minute drive to Indiana Beach. Pine View Resort has its own swimming pool for guests. They also offer golf packages for guests at nearby courses, inclusive of the accommodation charge. Guests staying at Pine View can go canoeing and fishing at the nearby lake.

Bay Pointe Resort

Bay Pointe Resort is a few minutes away from Indiana Beach on Lake Shafer. The resort provides five two-bedroom cottages and one single-bedroom cottage. All have air conditioning and wireless Internet. Lighted docks allow guests to fish at any time. Monticello facilities for go-carting, golf, horseback riding and theater are nearby. There are also walking trails as well as canoeing and kayaking, or ice skating and skiing, depending on the season.

Bayside Resort is right on the water of Lake Shafer, with a dock so guests can bring their own watercraft. There are single and double rooms available, as well as two, three and four-bedroom self-catering suites. The suites have spa baths, and bathrooms in the four-bedroom suites have heated marble flooring. There are barbecue facilities in the garden, and guests have access to an indoor pool. An infrared sauna and outdoor spa overlook the lake.
