Rolling down the city's many cobblestone streets in a horse-drawn carriage, as your driver points out the historic sites and explains how and where Civil War officers lived and dined, is an experience to remember. As you tour the historic district, a site where many of the famous Revolutionary and Civil War battles were planned, the area becomes alive with historical references, culture and people. The 50-minute narrated tour leaves City Market, at the gazebo, between Jefferson and West St. Julian Streets. Reservations are highly recommended.
