Peking Restaurant
The Peking Restaurant is a chain restaurant with several locations throughout Egypt, including Cairo. The restaurants have been serving Chinese food for over 40 years. Start with a classic Peking special such as the Sizzling Plate, a heated platter of a selection of meat and vegetables served sizzling hot at your table. Don't miss the Peking duck, another specialty of the house, but call in advance to order it, as preparation takes longer than the usual dishes.

Spice
Spice is situated on the second level of the Four Seasons Hotel, a part of the Nile Plaza complex. The Chinese restaurant serves traditional Cantonese cuisine with a view of the Nile River. A signature of Cantonese cuisine is dim sum, similar to the concept of tapas, where waitresses wheel out carts filled with tiny dishes of food to sample. Try the ha gau, a shrimp-filled pot sticker, or the roast duck with orange sauce. Order the ho fun noodles with satay beef, a traditional way to end a Cantonese meal, as noodles are reputed to bring good luck.
