Mirvish Village is the hub for art, culture and food in midtown Toronto. For the past 40 years, Mirvish Village has offered a one-of-a-kind shopping experience with specialty bookstores, art galleries, vintage shops and modern fashion. Located on the subway line at Bloor Street West and Bathurst Street, the area contains everything you could want. Next time you are near this area, check out some of the fine restaurants for a quick bite.

The Central

The Central is a two-level restaurant sure to please everyone. Downstairs is the main dining room and stage where you can eat while listening to local musicians. The upstairs area is a bit quieter with a projection TV. Off the upstairs dining room are two patios overlooking Toronto. The cuisine is Italian-fusion with a strong emphasis on organic and locally grown produce. The Central takes reservations online. However, parties of 10 or more need to call directly.

Southern Accent

Open nightly from Tuesday to Sunday, Southern Accent holds up to 150 guests at a time. The restaurant has five different rooms, each accommodating 10 to 36 people for parties or large group functions. If you want a more intimate dining experience check out a "snug." This is a curtained booth just large enough for two. Open since 1984, Southern Accent serves a selection of Cajun and Creole flavors for a taste of Louisiana way up north.
