An hour west of St. Louis in the Missouri River Hills, Warrenton, Missouri, offers many outdoor recreation activities. Less than 2 miles away, Reifsnider State Forest provides camping and fishing opportunities. Little Lost Creek Conservation area, 12 miles away, features a spring-fed Ozark stream and waterfalls surrounded by wooded hills. Visitors can drive 30 minutes northwest to Graham Cave State Park, which lies along the Loutre River. Warrenton also has several motels that offer comfortable accommodations.

Well-behaved pets are allowed without an additional fee. Although most of the neighborhood restaurants are fast-food chains, several sit-down restaurants, including Denny's and Applebees, are approximately one mile from the property.
