A popular tourist destination, Beavers Bend is a state resort park in southeastern Oklahoma, along both the Mountain Fork River and Broken Bow Lake, near the city of Broken Bow. The park itself is filled with such activities as hiking, guided eagle watches, trout and fly fishing, bumper boat rides, jet skiing, horseback riding and hay rides. In addition, the surrounding area is home to Cedar Creek Golf Course, an 18-hole course in the middle of a forest. If you're looking to spend more than just the day at Beavers Bend, there are a number of lodging options in the surrounding area and the park itself.

Lakeview Lodge

The 40-room Lakeview Lodge sits within the Beavers Bend park boundaries, along the shores of Broken Bow Lake. Each room features a view of the lake, full country furnishings and cable TV. Free continental breakfast is served in the lodge's great room in front of a stone fireplace. The lodge also has a conference room.

Beavers Bend Cabins

If the flowing river scene is more your style, Beavers Bend also has 47 rental cabins in grove areas along the Mountain Fork River. The cabins are designed to house two to six people, and each comes with a fully stocked kitchen, refrigerator, heating and air conditioning. Many also come with fireplaces. The cabins contain no televisions or telephones. Pets are welcome.

Hochatown Country Lodge

Situated just outside the southern entrance to Beavers Bend, Hochatown Country Lodge houses 30 guest rooms at value prices. Each room comes with a pair of queen-size beds, refrigerator, microwave and TV. The lodge also features four honeymoon suites--each with a king-size bed and hot tub, in addition to standard amenities. Additionally, the grounds house an outdoor swimming pool, a bonfire pit and 45-person meeting room with kitchen access. Hochatown Lodge also offers discounts and storage facilities for fly fisherman, as well as special longer-term rates.

Lago Vista Bed & Breakfast

This forested, mountainside bed and breakfast overlooks Broken Bow Lake. Primarily a high-end couples retreat, Lago Vista has a strict no-children policy. However, dogs are welcome. Four luxurious and spacious room styles are available--each with a hot tub, satellite TV, Wi-Fi Internet access, 1,000 thread-count Egyptian linens, fireplace and private balcony. Lago Vista also has a conference room, media room with big-screen TV, massage room, laundry room and full breakfast and beverage service.
