Hy-Line Cruises traditional ferry runs from late May to mid-October. The seasonal ferry, named "Great Point," offers free rides for up to three children with each adult ticket purchased. At least one ferry runs per day, and the earliest arrival in Nantucket is 11:10 a.m. As of 2010, ticket prices are $43 round trip, or $21.50 each way. An upgraded lounge is available for passengers for an additional $13 per ticket. Pets are allowed on the ferry if leashed, but not in the first-class lounge.

High-Speed Ferry
The high-speed ferry "Grey Lady" runs year-round with a minimum of five departures per day. The earliest arrival in Nantucket is 7:30 a.m. Reservations are recommended because schedules can change. As of 2010, ticket prices are $75 round trip or $39 each way. Children under 4 ride free, and all other children ride for $51 round trip or $29 each way. Bicycles are allowed on the ferry for $6 each. The ferry terminal offers free Wi-Fi service.

Private Charter

The Viking is also available for private charters. Prices in 2010 start at about $700, but the entire ship is devoted to your party. The crew and bartender are included in the price. All alcoholic beverages must be provided and served by the cruise company, but outside catering is available, with some restrictions. The company also offers ferry service to Cape Cod, Martha's Vineyard and themed harbor cruises.
