Located in central Missouri, Lake of the Ozarks has more than 1,000 miles of shoreline and fishing for paddlefish, walleye, white bass, largemouth bass, spotted bass, crappie, catfish, bluegill and hybrid striped bass. The lake is open to fishing year-round and numerous lodges are available for fishing vacations. Many of the resorts are also boat friendly and have private marinas for easy fishing access. The area is also rich with golf courses, hiking trails, biking trails, restaurants and shopping malls.

Lakeview Resort

The Lakeview resort is a family-friendly establishment with lakefront cottages available in a variety of sizes. The resort has fishing piers, a boat launch, covered boat docks, enclosed fishing docks, a marina with boat rentals and a fish-cleaning station. It also has an indoor and outdoor swimming pool, hot tub, sauna, two playgrounds, swimming docks, volleyball court, tennis court, shuffleboard, picnic area, wireless Internet, laundry facilities, fitness area, basketball, horseshoes and cable television. The lakeside location and boating facilities make this resort ideal for visiting anglers and the enclosed fishing docks allow you to comfortably fish in poor weather. The boat rentals include fishing boats that have direct access to Cloverleaf Bay. The bay is a productive fishing area on the lake and is the location used for the annual Lake of the Ozarks Classic bass fishing tournament.

Holiday Shores Resort

The Holiday Shores Resort offers fisherman a lakeside location with a fishing dock, boat launch and covered boat slips. The lakefront and lake view cottages have full kitchens, air conditioning, fireplaces, phones and cable television. The resort also has a heated outdoor pool with a fountain area, a swimming dock and free paddle boats.The resort also has a professional fishing staff that will provide a fishing boat, equipment and advice at your request. The staff will give you specialized instruction and prepare you for a day of fishing on the large lake. The resort is located on Pogue Hollow Cove which is a productive fishing area for catfish, carp and bass.

Rock Harbor Resort

The Rock Harbor Resort has numerous accommodations for fisherman. The resort offers a boat launch, fishing dock, fishing guides, covered boat slips and fishing boat rentals. The resort also has a heated pool, shuffleboard, cable television, a recreation hall, swimming dock, playground, tennis and pontoon boat and canoe rentals. Visitors can stay in lakefront or lake view cottages, duplexes, fourplexes and motel rooms that come in a variety of sizes to fit singles or groups. With the exception of the motel area, all of the accommodations have a furnished kitchen with a microwave. The location on Moonlight Bay is ideal for fishing in the bay or quickly accessing the main channel in a boat. The bay is productive for crappie, catfish and bass and the main channel allows anglers to easily explore the neighboring Buck Creek Cove and Stillwater Bay.
