Salt Water Fishing in Jacksonville, Florida

Jacksonville, located in extreme northeastern Florida, has hundreds of miles of shoreline and river and ocean access. Numerous fishing guides and charter services exist to take fishermen into the salty waters of the Atlantic Ocean in pursuit of deep-sea and inshore sport fish. All anglers will need a valid Florida fishing license.

North Florida Fishing runs charters and fishing trips in the inshore waterways around the Jacksonville and St. Augustine region. All charters include boat service, guide, use of fishing gear and tackle, bait and use of coolers. You need to provide ice, drinks, food, sun-hats and glasses and extra clothing. Bringing a camera is recommended, so you can record the day's catch. Manatees, dolphin, sea and shore birds are frequently spotted on trips. Corporate and family charters can be arranged through the North Florida Fishing charters.

Enterprise Fishing Charters takes anglers out for inshore, offshore and jettieway fishing trips. Inshore species include redfish, trout and snook. Offshore fish include tarpon, kingfish and cobia. Jetties species include redfish, black drum, sheepshead, trout and flounder. All fishing gear, tackle and bait are included with charters. A guide and boat service are included in the price. You should provide your own coolers (to hold food, beverages and the day's catch,) sunhats and glasses, camera and extra clothes. No hard-sole shoes should be worn; opt instead for tennis or deck shoes.

King Neptune Fishing Charters

King Neptune Charters takes anglers out for deep-sea fishing. The boat used has a full inside cabin with head and galley. All fishing gear, tackle, bait, use of coolers, guides and boat service is included in charter fees. Bring your own sun gear, soft-sole shoes, beverages (no glass containers) and camera. Trips frequently spot dolphin and sea birds. Lunch can be purchased onboard the vessel should you choose to not provide your own. A limit of one six-pack per person is allowed on the boat and drunkenness is not permitted. Charters are sometimes with other groups. Private charters can be arranged.
