Coleman 413 Parts

Coleman 413 Parts
The Coleman 413 line of two-burner gas camping stoves continues a tradition of outdoor gas products that have made Coleman products a common sight around campsites for nearly a century. These stoves burn white gasoline often marketed as Coleman fuel to produce the heat needed to provide warm, comforting meals. The long service life of these stoves can be greatly extended with proper use, maintenance and occasional replacement of worn parts.

Tank

The principal component of the tank (part No. 413-5601) is the large reservoir holding the liquid fuel used in Coleman stoves. The pump plunger assembly (part No. 242D5201) manually pressurizes the reservoir prior to use. Periodically adding a drop of oil to the plunger will prolong the life of the assembly and allow the plunger to glide smoothly when pumping. The fuel feeds out of the tank into the valve and generator assembly. The tank and valve and generator assembly are removed from the stove after use. These parts are easily stored within the stove (after the stove has cooled) underneath the grate.

Valve and Generator

The valve and generator (part No. 413B6601) connects the fuel tank to the manifold assembly. The individual components of the valve and generator assembly include the generator (part No. 413A5621) which converts the liquid fuel to a gas. Replacing the generator often resolves problems with low heat output or difficulty igniting the stove. Remove the generator tube using pliers to unscrew the generator from the valve. The generator coil and generator needle are found inside the tube. The generator needle is likewise removed using pliers to unscrew it from the valve. Screw the new needle in hand tight and then use pliers and twist an additional quarter turn. Place the new coil over the needle and use the pliers to screw the new generator tube into place.

Manifold Assembly

The manifold assembly (part No. 413-5281) feeds the gas fuel into the burner bowls which provide the heat for cooking. The main burner consists of the burner bowl (part No. 413C3021) and cap and fillers (part No. 425-3451) with the auxiliary burner employing a similar setup with slightly different cap and fillers (part No. 413C3451).

Grate, Hood and Wind Baffles

Most parts of the stove body are not replaceable. The metal grate (part No. 413B5531) that sits over the burners and provides a cooking service may be replaced if damaged or lost. The hood and wind baffles hinged to the shell of the stove shield the cooking area from wind and protect the stove components when not in use. Coleman does not offer replacement hood and wind baffles.
