Documenting nuclear testing from the 1950s to the present day, the Atomic Testing Museum educates visitors on the dangers and benefits of atomic testing. Such highlights of the tour of the museum include the popular show, "Ground Zero Theater," in which guests are taken through a simulation of the atomic testing performed in the desert regions north of Las Vegas at the Nevada Test Site, or NTS. The museum is operated by Nevada Test Site Historical Foundation in association with the Smithsonian, making it an ideal place to experience authentic nuclear education.
