Astoria, located in the Queens borough of New York City, appeals to travelers for numerous reasons. Its short distance from LaGuardia, one of the metropolis's three major airports, makes it a convenient place to stay overnight for air travelers with a stopover. The ethnic neighborhood also has its share of attractions; it's packed with Greek restaurants and hosts several renown museums. The Ravel in nearby and Long Island City offers the area's first luxury boutique hotel. Its 63 rooms overlooking the Manhattan skyline are designed with sleek modern décor, 9-foot ceilings, private balconies and spa-like bathrooms. The venue also offers a meeting space and a complimentary shuttle to LaGuardia airport. The luxurious, 6,000 square-foot restaurant Penthouse 808 with glass-enclosed views of the city serves a brunch and dinner with a Japanese-inspired menu.
