Manu Lodging in the Amazon

The wild, untamed jungles of Peru's Manu National Park, offer visitors an opportunity for exploration, education and discovery. In southeastern Peru, the park provides a unique setting for hiking, mountain biking, canoeing and trekking. Visitors can explore the plant and wildlife species of the jungle floor, or hike through the mist of the cloud forest. Accommodations in Manu provide jungle retreats, where visitors can spend time relaxing in a unique setting, surrounded by the creatures that call the park home.

Amazon Manu Lodge

Reachable only by boat, Amazon Manu Lodge offers peaceful, secluded accommodations in the jungle of Manu National Park. The lodge offers four rooms and four bungalows, all equipped with private bathrooms. Guests of the lodge can enjoy the many sights, sounds, plant life, and wildlife the park has to offer. Visitors can get to know the lodge's neighbors, including saki monkeys, saddle-back tamarins, howler monkeys, and more than 500 species of birds. Guests of the lodge can enjoy trips to the Macaw Clay Lick and Tapir Clay Lick, both nearby, where they can get a glimpse of macaws, deer and monkeys. Amazon Manu Lodge offers a number of accommodation and tour packages, ranging from three to 20 days, including birdwatching, cloud forest, Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu tours.

Manu Wildlife Center

Along the Madre de Dios River, and only reachable by water, the Manu Wildlife Center offers 22 bungalows, which include private bathrooms. The untamed and secluded location of the Manu Wildlife Center offers visitors an opportunity to see a wide variety of plant life and wildlife. Visitors can wander the 30 miles of trails, observing the many species of jungle animals. Guests can get up-close views of black spider monkeys, emperor tamarin and red howler monkeys, all within a few feet of the center. A short walk away, the Macaw Clay Lick offers an opportunity to observe a variety of native jungle animals that frequent the area. In addition to offering accommodations and wildlife excursions, the Manu Wildlife Center also provides student programs and treks from the Amazon region to the Andes Mountains.

Manu Paradise Lodge

In the cloud forest between the San Pedro and Kosnipata rivers, the Manu Paradise Lodge provides guest rooms that can accommodate up to 16 people. All rooms include private bathrooms and river views. Guests of the lodge can enjoy the unique plant life in the area, including giant ferns, wild orchids and stunted evergreen trees. Wildlife enthusiasts can observe monkeys, spectacled bear and butterflies. Other outdoor activities in the area include canoeing, mountain biking and hiking. Manu Paradise Lodge also offers a variety of tour packages for continued journeys, including birdwatching tours, jungle mountain biking adventures and tours to Cusco and Machu Picchu.
