Seneca Rock is located in the eastern panhandle of West Virginia about 3 hours west of Washington, D.C. Rock-climbers are drawn to the challenge of scaling its sheer face, and it has proven to be one of the most popular places to rock-climb on the East Coast. If you want to come take on the mountain, several log cabins are available for rent in the area.

Germany Valley Overlook Cabins‎

These secluded mountain cabins feature panoramic views of the surrounding Germany Valley. Nearby, guests will find opportunities to hike, fish or go whitewater rafting. The entrance to the North Fork Mountain Trail is only a half mile away. Three cabins sit on the property, each one located far away from the others to maximize the sense of privacy. They feature televisions, grills, decks and fire pits. The biggest one sleeps ten. They are available to rent year-round. It should be noted that cell service is very spotty in the area and that the cabins do not have telephones.

Appalachian Cabins‎

The Appalachian Cabins are located directly off the North Fork of the Potomac River's South Branch. The proximity allows guests to enjoy some of the best canoeing opportunities in the area. The surrounding woods are full of small game and provide excellent hunting options. The cabins are located very close together, so this isn't the best place to stay if you seek to maximize privacy. Each cabin features satellite television, a hot tub and air conditioning. They are available to rent year-round and represent a cheaper option than other cabins in the area.
