Camp Lejeune is a marine base located on 14 miles of shoreline; its waterfront location means residents of the base can practice water assault training and deploy from one of the ports located on either side of the base. From Camp Lejeune, visitors can explore beaches and waterfront parks in Topsail Island and Jacksonville. Topsail Island, a 26-mile island off the coast and about 40 minutes from Camp Lejeune, offers areas for sunbathing and hiking as well as the Karen Beasley Sea Turtle Rescue Center, where visitors can participate in hands-on biology and conservation exhibits. Nearby Jacksonville, located within 15 minutes of the base, offers a range of hotels to suit most any traveler.

Ramada Inn

Ramada Inn is located on highway 17 only five miles from Camp Lejeune. Topsail Beach is only 20 minutes from the hotel. Guest rooms include two double-size beds or one king-size bed with cable TV, free wireless Internet, microwaves and refrigerators. This hotel offers its guests a horseshoe court, outdoor playground, fitness room, outdoor pool, free continental breakfast and airport shuttle. An on-site restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner; several casual restaurants are located within a mile of the hotel.

Baymont Inn is located in downtown Jacksonville off of highway 17N. Rooms include double- or king-size beds, complimentary wireless Internet, cable TV, sofa beds and a work desk. Hotel amenities feature an outdoor pool, meeting room, free continental breakfast, complimentary beverage area, concierge desk, laundry facilities and fitness center. While Baymont Inn does not have its own restaurant, several restaurants are located throughout Jacksonville.
