Colorado River Resorts in Parker, Arizona

Parker, Arizona, is the county seat of La Puz County. The city of slightly more than 3,000 was founded in 1908 and is named for Ely Parker, the first Native American commissioner in the United States government. Parker generally has hot summers and warm winters, making it a year-round destination for travelers and tourists. Parker provides access to 16 miles of the Colorado River south of Lake Havasu, which offers a variety of activities. Water skiing, boating, fishing, swimming, tubing and camping are all common choices.

Sandbar Resort at Red Rock

Sandbar Resort at Red Rock is on the Colorado River. It offers 95 campsites for recreational vehicles or tents, 40 of which are riverfront. All have full hookups (water, cable, electricity and sewer) and are also telephone hookup ready. Also available to rent are three permanent trailers that have one or two bedrooms and three movable trailers. Warm running water, laundry facilities and indoor or outdoor boat or RV storage are all available to guests. The Sandbar Resort has direct access to the Colorado River via an on-site boat ramp. The on-site restaurant, Shipwrecked Sandbar, is a pirate-themed bar and cafe on the property.

Havasu Springs Resort

At Havasu Springs Resort, there are four motels to choose from that all have different views, locations and amenities. The Marina Motel overlooks the inner harbor, and it has immediate access to Lake Havasu. The Lakeview Motel is on a hillside above the resort, and it provides a panoramic view of the surrounding landscape and Arizona sunsets. All of the rooms at the Lakeview Motel have their own kitchenettes. The Poolside Motel is next to the resort's Olympic-size pool. The Vista Suites has one- and two-bedroom suites with full-size kitchens, small yards, barbecue grills and views of the lake.

JT's on the Keys Resort Motel

JT's on the Keys Resort Motel is a nine-room, family-owned hotel on the Colorado River. Hotel features include free wireless Internet, dock access, parking for large trucks and trailers, and a courtyard with a waterfall and barbecue grill for guests. Room amenities include cable television, microwaves, mini-fridges, coffee makers and air conditioning. Nearby attractions include Circle K, bars and restaurants, a public launch dock, Emerald Cyn Golf Course and Blue Water Casino. JT's is open 365 days a year and accepts both individual and group reservations.
