Teen Summer Camps in California
Summer camp gives teens the chance to be teens, to get outdoors and make memories they will laugh about for years to come. California, with miles of coastline and expansive mountain ranges, gives teens ample opportunity to enjoy Mother Nature. Here are some programs to get you excited and start your search for the perfect California summer camp.

Classic Camp on the Sea

Catalina Sea Camp offers teens a traditional camp experience that takes advantage of Catalina's stunning island setting. Campers have the chance to try their hand at sailing, SCUBA and other ocean-inspired activities.

Option for Animal Lovers

For teens who dream of a career with animals, check out SeaWorld's Adventure Camp. SeaWorld offers both day and residential camps and promises hands-on experience working with animals. This is the camp for aspiring marine biologists.

College Bound

The Yosemite Institute offers an adventure program with an academic flair. The Summer Field Research program combines backpacking with academics. With the support of staff, teens create their own research project and have the opportunity to earn college credit along the way. There are prerequisites and an application process, so plan ahead.

Ladies Only

The Armstrong Scholars Program gives young women, ages 15 to 18, the chance to experience the backcountry of the High Sierras. This Yosemite Institute program is funded through scholarships, making sure that every girl has the opportunity to experience the growth and challenge of a wilderness experience.
