Loveland is located in northern Colorado just one hour outside of Denver. Many visitors come for skiing in the winter and golf in the summer, while others are headed to Boyd Lake State Park for camping, boating, hiking, fishing and hunting. Loveland is also the location of Benson Sculpture Garden, which hosts the annual "Sculpture in the Park" event featuring sculptures from artists from around the world. This city has several great options for a hearty breakfast before hitting the slopes or heading out on the lake.

Loveland Breakfast Club

Loveland Breakfast Club is located near the center of town, just down the road from McKee Medical Center. This restaurant offers an array of health-conscious but hearty meals to start the day, such as the California omelet made with three eggs and stuffed with mushrooms, Swiss cheese, tomatoes and guacamole. Entrees like the Loveland Club, a triple-decker sandwich made with slices of French toast and filled with eggs, ham and cheese, take a distinct twist on a traditional breakfast favorite. Three different biscuits and gravy meals are offered for a country-style meal, or diners can choose from one of the Southwest-inspired dishes like the pepper jack breakfast burrito or the huevos rancheros. A selection of burgers, sandwiches, burritos and salads is also available on the lunch menu. This restaurant is only open until 2 p.m. each day.

The Egg and I Restaurant

The Egg and I has several locations throughout the United States, but since it originated in Fort Collins, it has been a Colorado favorite. A huge number of egg-related items dominate the breakfast menu, including eggs Benedict, omelets, frittatas, skillets and scrambles. Breakfast sandwiches, pancakes, waffles and French toast incorporate eggs as well. The restaurant offers some interesting takes on traditional egg items, such as the crepe stuffed with spinach, bacon, mushroom, tomato and dill sauce or the shrimp and crab omelet topped with hollandaise sauce. A number of sandwiches and salads are available for lunch, and the restaurants offers a signature Costa Rican coffee blend. This smoke-free establishment offers a 10 percent discount for seniors, and all food can be ordered for takeout.
