With its lake-effect snow, Michigan winters can see anywhere from 30 to 40 inches of snow annually. That amount of white stuff makes winter activities like skiing, snowboarding and dog sledding very popular. Along with sports, the Wolverine State offers an ambiance of snow covered hills, icy lakes and a chill in the air, making it the perfect place for a Christmas getaway.
