Several boat charter operations in Bellingham, Washington, run tours and fishing trips in the late fall month of November. Bellingham is in the northwest corner of the state and the Canadian border is within an hour's drive to the north. The area typically has cold, gray and rainy days during November, but the month is still a good time to fish. All anglers need valid Washington State fishing licenses, available online at the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife's website.

Eagle Point Charters is based out of neighboring Anacrotes, but will arrange charters and trips from Bellingham for an additional fee. Charters during November are for chum salmon or halibut. All fishing gear, tackle, guides, boat service and iced coolers are part of the charter fee. You need to bring rain gear, warm layers (non-cotton,) hats and gloves, camera, lunches, drinks and any motion sickness medicine you may need. Charters for halibut can potentially go out as far as 30 miles from shore, so be prepared for rough seas and foul weather during this time of year. Filet and bagging services are part of charter fees. Smoking and shipping can be arranged with the smokehouses of the area.

Patriot Charters goes for chum salmon during the month of November. Patriot Charter's boat, the "Miss Megan II," can accommodate up to six anglers. All fishing gear and tackle, guides, use of the inside cabin, iced coolers, guides, filet and bagging, and boat services are provided during charters. Dress for cold weather with non-cotton layers and rubber boots. Bring your own lunches and drinks, motion sickness tabs, hats and gloves. A camera is recommended. Silver salmon run during the fall as well and runs can be made for silvers as well as chum during November. Orcas and seals are frequently seen during charters.
