Fearing's
Named in 2009 by Zagat as the best restaurant in a U.S. hotel, Fearing's at The Ritz Carlton also has the distinction of being named by Zagat as second in the world only to the restaurant at the Four Seasons George V in Paris. Known for Crispy Barbecued Bluepoint Oysters, a variation on Oysters Rockefeller, and Pan Roasted "BBQ Spiced" Filet and Chicken Fried Maine Lobster, this restaurant is both innovative and traditional at the same time. Rates are expensive, as of March, 2010, an average meal for one without drinks is around $70.

The French Room
The New York Times calls The French Room at The Adolphus Hotel as "the most striking and sumptuous restaurant in Dallas." Gourmet magazine rates The French Room as the "best Dallas restaurant." for the last three years. The restaurant serves up Israeli Osetra Golani Caviar and Hudson Valley Foie Gras for appetizers; along with Nova Scotia Halibut and Black Angus Beef Tenderloin for dinner. As of March, 2010, The French Room has a Chef's Tasting Menu ranging from $110-$160 per person.

Bob's Steak and Chop House
You haven't been to Texas if you don't eat the steak, and Bob's Steak & Chop House is ranked as one of the top restaurants for steak by Travel and Leisure and Bon Appetit. It is known for USDA Prime steak, but it also serves up other slices of chops along with an extensive seafood menu. For the really big appetite, order the 28-ounce porterhouse. If you prefer the finer things in life, filet mignon comes in 9-, 12- and 16-ounce portions. Bob's also has an extensive wine list, winning Wine Spectator's Award of Excellence.
