Stone Mountain Park is a historical park in Stone Mountain, Georgia. Not only is Stone Mountain Park known for its amazing sculpture formed into the rock face of the mountain, but locals also know that Stone Mountain Park is the place to go for hiking, nighttime fireworks and light show, kids activity park with obstacle courses, child-friendly restaurants, a petting zoo, and even a miniature golf course. Stone Mountain Park is stationed with numerous family bathrooms that contain changing tables, and covered areas to accommodate nursing mothers.

The Cochran Mills Nature Center offers children and families a chance to see wildlife close-up, and to learn about the natural world from highly educated naturalists. The Cochran Mills Nature Center hosts a summer camp for children that focuses on many different exciting and fun-filled activities, such as canoeing, fishing, arts and crafts, and hiking through the woods. For children who normally do not have very much exposure to the outdoors, visiting the Cochran Mill Nature Center can allow them a chance to experience the great outdoors in a safe environment.
