Smoken Joe's Barbeque features a live venue inside the restaurant that regularly has live blues bands almost every night. Joe's boasts a large sauce selection, including Kansas Sticky and Memphis BBQ. Although a barbecue restaurant is not traditionally a vegetarian friendly place, Smoken Joe's has a decent vegetarian selection, including chili and appetizers like cornbread and cole slaw.

Blue Ribbon BBQ is inspired by the classic roadside BBQ joints that dot the American South. Their barbecue is fire roasted at low temperatures for long periods of time over oak and hickory hardwoods to produce moist, bold, and flavorful meats. They apply the same passion for cooking to a long list of side dishes and desserts. Their menu offers sandwiches, platters, sides and desserts at a variety of prices.

Wing It Inc.
Wing It is unlike the other barbecue restaurants on the list, because it delivers to a large area and customers can also place their orders online. They offer a large selection of ribs, burgers, sandwiches, and salads, as well as 21 flavors of boned and boneless chicken wings. Wing It started in 1986 as a delivery only restaurant that was run from an apartment kitchen, founded by three newly graduated students from the University of Massachusetts. Within a year, the demand from customers had grown so much that the restaurant was able to move to a commercial location in Lower Allston. The sit-down service started in 1989.
