Rutland, Vermont Hotels
Located in the south central portion of Vermont, Rutland is the state's second biggest city. As with most cities and towns in Vermont, Rutland still retains the charm of a time long since forgotten in more metropolitan areas. The downtown area of the city is listed on the national register of historic places. Old buildings with boutique shops are just a part of the community's charm. The greenest state in the Union, this area of Vermont offers plenty for the avid outdoorsman, including Coolidge State Park and Green Mountain National Forest, both of which offer miles of trails and fishing opportunities.
