Minnetonka Center for the Arts

Take the family to the Minnetonka Center for the Arts for a day. The Center offers art educational programming for kids that includes art classes, hands-on activities, day camps, and extended-period classes. The Center even offers birthday parties for kids ages 5 to 12.

Shady Oak Beach

Enjoy a summer day at the beach with the kids. The 85-acre Shady Oak Beach has plenty of sandy beach for kids to build sand castles and adults to sit and relax while watching their little ones swim. The beach has a water play area, high dive and canoe rental. They also offer a changing area, concessions, sand volleyball, and fishing area. The Shady Oak Beach is open from June to August with lifeguards on duty.

Minnetonka Ice Arena

At the Minnetonka Ice Arena, families can enjoy skating year-round. The Arena offers skating lessons throughout the year and is open for public skating September to April. It is home to several hockey and ice figure skating programs.

Trails

Kids can enjoy in Minnetonka on one of the many hiking or biking trails around the community. Minnetonka's running, walking and biking trails are part of the 40-mile Loop Trail Corridor System and most trails are maintained for year round enjoyment. Dogs are accepted on leashes.
