Visitors who stay on the Delmarva Peninsula, situated between Chesapeake Bay and the Atlantic Ocean, will have access to miles of beaches, nature trails, bird sanctuaries and a variety of sports on and off the water.

The Inn at Canal Square

The Inn at Canal Square is on the waterfront in the center of Lewes, next to the Canal Front Park, a short walk from shopping areas and restaurants. The hotel has its own dock for guests arriving by boat. It's less than a mile away from the bay area beaches and close to the ocean beaches at Cape Henlopen State Park. The Inn's 22 rooms and suites all have balconies facing the harbor and include Wi-Fi Internet access and a complimentary breakfast. There is no charge for children under the age of 5, and rooms can accommodate up to four guests. Amenities include a fitness center, overnight parking and conference rooms. The Inn welcomes pets.

The Heritage Inn & Golf Club

The Heritage Inn & Golf Club sits on three miles of beach at Lewis and Rehoboth, overlooking the club's 9-hole golf course. Themed rooms are named after American states and feature two queen beds, cable TVs, bars and refrigerators. Some rooms also have private balconies and microwave ovens. Family rooms have four beds and accommodate up to six guests. Guest services include access to the Heritage Golf Club, cart rental, free continental breakfast, water play area for kids, daily maid service, fitness center and outdoor pool.

The Lazy L

The Lazy L is a small bed and breakfast establishment tucked away on a large plot of land next to the Willow Tidal creek, just outside town. The five rooms and one private cottage all feature queen size beds, kitchenettes, heaters and air conditioners, screened porches, full bathrooms, TVs, DVD players and free Wi-Fi Internet access. Guest may use the heated outdoor swimming pool, picnic area hot tub, private dock with kayak rental and computer with printer. Breakfasts include items like quiche, fresh fruit, blueberry waffles with maple syrup, eggs and tea or coffee; special diets such as diabetic, gluten-free and vegetarian are available. Guests are encouraged to bring their dogs.The Washington Post called the Lazy L "a pleasantly informal B&B that goes out of its way to cater to well-behaved pups."
