Alpine is a small town in western Wyoming near the state's border with Idaho. The town lies on the Snake River, near where the river meets the Palisades Reservoir, making for many opportunities for aquatic activity in the area. Swimming, rafting and fishing are popular Alpine attractions. Though the town does not feature a large downtown area, a number of restaurants in Alpine help feed those enjoying the area's recreational activities.

Flying Saddle Resort Steakhouse

Featuring Black Angus Steak and a salad bar buffet, the Flying Saddle Resort Steakhouse serves family meals in a Western atmosphere, complete with saddle-topped bar stools and rustic furnishings. Featured as part of the Flying Saddle Resort, the restaurant is housed with a hotel and lodge, making dining and lodging in the same area simple. Some of the restaurant's menu items include calamari, half-pound beef burgers and buffalo burgers, pizza and a large variety of steaks, including flank, New York and ribeye. The Flying Saddle Resort Steakhouse is open for dinner every day of the week.

Brenthoven's Restaurant and Bar

Located one mile from US highways 89 and 26, Brenthoven's Restaurant and Bar is conveniently situated for travelers to the area. The restaurant is housed inside the Nordic Inn, making dining easy for overnight guests. Brenthoven's menu features breakfast items such as crepes, French toast and oatmeal, as well as lunch and dinner dishes including cod, chicken salad, panini sandwiches, steak and pasta. The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days a week between Memorial Day and mid-October, and the bar is open in the evenings until midnight. Brenthoven's is closed during the winter.

Subway

Known nationwide for its sandwiches, Subway is a restaurant that most American households already know of. The chain restaurant serves made-to-order sub sandwiches that are usually ready within just a few minutes. The Alpine subway location also features a drive-through for a quick meal while traveling without leaving the vehicle. Subway's sandwiches can also usually be packed and saved for later consumption while hiking or enjoying the area's aquatic attractions. Some of the restaurant's menu items are teriyaki chicken sandwiches, meatball sub sandwiches, and other subs featuring a number of cold cuts, cheese and vegetables.
