As the capital of the Canadian province of Saskatchewan, Regina has served as the cultural and commercial center for many years. Regina previously served as the headquarters of the North-West Territories before Canada was divided into provinces. Named after Queen Victoria, who was known as Victoria Regina, the city of Regina's flat plain landscape is accented by a picturesque lake south of the business district. The city's recreational activities include golfing, hiking trails and curling, an Olympic event similar to shuffleboard. Visitors can take a break from ice skating and playing hockey on one of the area's many rinks to play the slot machines at Casino Regina, located within an historic train station. Several hotels are located within walking distance of the casino.

Delta Regina Hotel

The hotel has a waterslide, indoor pool and whirlpool for guests to use. Guests can continue an exercise regimen at the onsite fitness center or venture out to one of the city's four fishing lakes. Complimentary Internet, the Indigo dining room and an onsite spa round out the amenities at the Delta Regina Hotel.
