Giovanni Venti Cinque
Giovanni Venti Cinque is an Italian restaurant located a few blocks from the Metropolitan Museum. The ambiance is a little dark, but candlelight from behind stained glass provides a comforting feel. The dishes have a Northern Italian influence, meaning you can expect a bold use of traditional spices and very complex flavors from the sauces. Some of the traditional dishes include Pappardelle with truffle sauce, roasted quail, and of course multiple pasta dishes such as ravioli pasta made from hand. For individuals who like traditional Italian cooking, Giovanni Venti Cinque is a good choice close to the Metropolitan Museum.

Kefi Restaurant
Kefi Restaurant is a Greek restaurant and tavern that offers a wide array of special dishes based on traditional cuisine. A tavern takes up most of one wall, with a large wine display behind it. The other wall is lined with wooden tables and chairs. The ambiance invokes a feeling of being in Greece, with solid wood supports showing and white stucco walls channeling the Mediterranean in the middle of New York City. Some classic specialty dishes include baccala, grilled octopus, hilopita, and tsoutsoukakia. The tsoutsoukakia were voted by New York Magazine as New York's Best Meatballs in 2007. There are well over 50 Greek wines available to complement the meal, or dessert wines for afterward.
