The Westside Nature Preserve is located beside I-84 and approximately two miles off Exit 4. There are signs that direct you to a kiosk at the entrance of the preserve with pamphlets to guide you on the two trails. The hikes take you over bridges, near the wetlands and through the giant oak trees before looping back to the starting point. The children will enjoy the trails as they are relatively short at three-fourths and a mile long yet very scenic and educational, featuring year-round plant life and wildlife such as deer, wild turkeys and woodpeckers.
