Akbar Restaurant

Akbar restaurant recently was honored by the Baltimore City Paper as one of the best restaurants in the city. Serving Indian food at this location for over 24 years, this family-owned downtown Baltimore restaurant boasts, "The finest array of dishes and gourmet masterpieces, coupled with renowned service." Akbar has a cozy atmosphere filled with the aroma of Indian spices. The Baltimore magazine recommends starting with the chicken chaat and moving on to entrees like rogan josh, chicken tikka, prawn kebabs or shrimp in a coconut based mustard sauce. The Black Olive

The Black Olive serves fresh fish from around the world, filleted tableside for your close inspection. Elizabeth Large from The Baltimore Sun says, "The seafood is superb and the ethnic specialties out of the ordinary... The Black Olive is a rarity." Organic ingredients including produce, dairy and flours formulate the ingredient list of every dish on the menu. Amicci's

Amicci's Italian restaurant is one of the treasures of Little Italy. This Baltimore restaurant received the recent honor of being named "Baltimore's Best Italian Restaurant" in a City Paper reader's poll.
Amicci's has a very casual and family-friendly atmosphere, lending itself more to a get-together than a romantic date. The food is reasonably priced, and includes their signature appetizer, the scampi-inspired pane rotundo, and classic Italian entrees like the shrimp fra diavolo, baked penne or manicotti. Vegetarian selections and a kid's menu are available.
