Winter Park, Colorado is a popular destination for the outdoor enthusiasts. During the warmer months, visitors may enjoy boating, fishing or rafting on the thrilling Colorado Rivers, horseback riding or mountain biking. The summer weather is almost always warm and tolerable during the days, and cool and brisk during the night. The area also has a large variety of winter activities as well, including skiing, snowboarding, snowmobiling and even dog-sledding.

Winter Park Ski Resort is an ideal destination to enjoy a large variety of winter sports, such as skiing, snowboarding and tubing on a variety of different trails. Experienced snowboarders will find that there is even a heavy terrain park, with ramps and high jumps. For beginners, Winter Park offers lessons for all age groups, and there are plenty of novice skiing trails on the mountain for visitors to enjoy. Daily or season passes are available to purchase year-round, and for a reasonable price.

ATV Tours and Mile Hi Rafting

During the warmer months, visitors may enjoy exciting adventures atop an ATV, navigating through historic mining trails, the Rocky Mountains, Continental Divide and Mt. Evans. There are a variety of trails for every experience and thrill level. Before departing on the ATV excursion, there is a complimentary safety training class. The whitewater rafting trips are available for every skill level for both half-day and full-day trips. The trips are on Clear Creek and the Arkansas Rivers. Every package includes safety and rafting gear.

Beacon Landing

Beacon Landing offers a variety of activities for visitors to enjoy, including boating, fishing jigging and snowmobiling. During the warmer months there are guided fishing trips on Lake Granby and trolling and bait fishing. Beacon Landing has onsite boat rentals, fishing equipment rentals, as well as a country store. During the winter, there are snowmobile rentals, guided snowmobiling trips and cross country skiing.
