Estes Park, a town in Larimer County, Colorado, is one of the country's most famous resort destinations. It houses the official headquarters of Rocky Mountain National Park and is popular with anglers because it sits along the Big Thompson River. There are numerous accomodations in the area, including authentic log cabins and more modern, upscale versions of the traditional theme.

Wendy's Canyon Cottages operates several small cottages and cabins in Estes Park. Notable among them is "Canyon Escape," an original 1910 cabin restored into a romantic getaway with rustic log cabin interior. The fully-equipped kitchen includes a gas stove. There's also a grill, a private hot tub, two beds and satellite TV. Located on the Big Thompson River, Canyon Escape is only two miles from downtown Estes Park.

Dripping Springs Resort

Dripping Springs Resort has several cabins in Estes Park. The rustic Pinewood Cabin, which features an aspen log bed and an outdoor hot tub, is the most popular with couples. All the cabins have satellite TVs, linens, full kitchens and access to the Big Thompson river. Some have wood-burning stoves and wireless Internet, but none have telephones. You can also stay in one of the five private rooms of the resort's bed and breakfast, each with porch, hot tub and deck.
