West Glacier is a small Montana town about 28 miles from Kalispell and 22 miles from Whitefish. Guests come to explore Glacier National Park, which offers many outdoor activities and much natural beauty. Visitors can hike alone over 700 miles of trails, embark on a boat tour or take a guided tour through the park on horseback. There are also several motels in the area that offer guests the chance to rest and rejuvenate between excursions.

West Glacier Motel

The West Glacier Motel is within West Glacier Village, near the entrance of Glacier National Park. In West Glacier Village, guests can try out the fairways at the 18-hole golf course, hike along mountain trails or navigate the Flathead River on a whitewater rafting expedition. This motel offers five cabins and 27 motel rooms where guests can unwind after exploring Montana's scenic wonders. Each room and cabin come with a kitchenette that includes a stove and cookware. There is also a picnic area where guests can enjoy views of the park.

Apgar Village Lodge

Apgar Village Lodge is on the south side of Lake McDonald, two miles from the West Glacier Motel. This facility has 28 cabins and 20 motel rooms, some of which have back doors that open onto McDonald Creek. All rooms come with refrigerators, stoves and cookware. Guests can rent boats and explore Lake McDonald or fish while enjoying the area's picturesque views.

Whistling Swan Motel

The Whistling Swan Motel provides easy access to Glacier National Park. It is also within walking distance of grocery stores, restaurants and gift shops. The motel offers transportation to and from the Amtrak station. Guests can also rent a kitchenette for preparing meals between outings.
