Whether you are a skier, hiker, whitewater rafter or rock-climber--Idaho has something for everyone. Idaho also has conveniently-placed airports close to its outdoor activities that will expedite your trip. Boise, Hailey and Idaho Falls are the most popular and largest airports that have the most connecting flights from other airports.

Boise, Idaho

The capital city of Boise has the biggest airport in Idaho. Less than an hour's drive from Boise will get you to Oregon's Eastern Wilderness areas or to the Frank Church-River of No Return Wilderness. Boise is located just miles away from the Snake River, which provides great whitewater rafting excursions. Boise's airport code is BOI.

Hailey, Idaho

Located 100 miles from Boise, Hailey is a hub of outdoor activities in Idaho. Hailey is literally surrounded by Craters of the Moon National Monument, Sawtooth National Recreation Area, Frank Church-River of No Return Wilderness, and the Wood River Valley. Hailey is near the famous Sun Valley Resort, which functions year-round. Its airport code is SUN. There are daily flights from Salt Lake City, Los Angeles, Boise and Seattle to Hailey.

Idaho Falls, Idaho
