Located on Oregon's scenic Pacific coast, Newport is home to 10,400 residents and offers visitors more than 1,500 rooms at motels, hotels and inns, according to the city's chamber of commerce. The Newport City Loop Shuttle Service has 46 stops and is free for guests of the city's accommodations. Outdoor enthusiasts visiting the Newport area can hike a 10-mile loop, surf on Agate Beach, fish for salmon or stroll the miles of coastal beaches.

With nine studios and suites available, the Driftwood Village Motel offers ocean views and direct access to the beach. Single rooms feature a queen bed, kitchenette, gas fireplace and a balcony. Larger rooms and suites include king beds, full kitchens, sofa sleepers and separate living areas. A detached beach house and private cabin are also available, also with beachfront access and motel amenities such as cable television and wireless Internet access. The Driftwood Village Motel is located just north of downtown Newport on Highway 101.

Money Saver Motel

The Money Saver offers affordable guest rooms and suites with one or two queen beds. Rooms include refrigerators and microwaves for storing snacks and beverages, cable television with HBO and wireless Internet access. Suites also include a full kitchen, additional twin bed and sofa sleeper in a separate living area. The Money Save Motel is on Highway 101 and is three blocks east of the beach and three blocks north of Yaquina State Park.

Moolack Shores Motel

Moolack Shores bills itself as "utterly unique lodging on the Oregon Coast," according to the hotel's website, where "you can watch whales migrate from your private deck." Rooms at the Moolack feature one of 12 themes such as nautical, western, nostalgia and aviator and include oceanfront decks, fireplaces and vaulted ceilings. Some rooms include fully equipped kitchens, others have a refrigerator and microwave. Stairs lead from the motel grounds directly to the beach. Beverly Beach State Park is one mile to the north. Downtown Newport is five miles south of Moolack Shores. Agate Beach, halfway between the two, offers several dining options and a golf course.

The Waves Motel in downtown Newport offers ocean view rooms with use of an indoor saltwater pool, spa and dry sauna. Rooms feature microwaves, refrigerators, cable television and a complimentary breakfast with fresh cinnamon rolls and homemade muffins. Select from one king, two queens, or a corner deluxe room and bring the children to stay for free. Pets are welcome with an additional nightly fee and senior discounts are available. Many restaurants are within walking distance of the Waves Motel, including seafood, pizza and an Irish pub.
