The state of Mississippi is situated between Louisiana and Alabama in the American South. It borders the Gulf of Mexico and is home to several major parks including De Soto National Forest, Homochitto National Forest and Holly Springs National Forest. Gold Strike Casino Resort is located in Tunica, Mississippi in the state's northeast corner and near the banks of the Mississippi River. The resort's hotel includes standard single and double rooms with contemporary decor, as well as luxury suites that feature sitting areas, Jacuzzis and marble bathrooms. The casino has a 50,000-foot gaming floor with slot machines, table games and a dedicated poker room, which plays host to the World Poker Open every year. Pearl River Resort

Located in the center of Mississippi about 75 miles northeast of the capital of Jackson, Pearl River Resort is another casino and resort option. It includes four separate hotels with more than 1,000 guest rooms. The Golden Moon and Silver Star hotels feature modern luxury rooms while the Dancing Rabbit Hotel has eight unique guest rooms with whirlpool baths and views of the adjacent golf course. Two casinos offer a wide range of games for all players, from travelers on a budget to high rollers. Among several on-site restaurants, the Beach Club stands out for its tropical-themed dining area, menu and Tiki bar.

Island View Casino Resort

Island View Casino Resort is located along Mississippi's Southern coast of the Gulf of Mexico, just 10 miles west of Biloxi. It overlooks several small gulf islands just off shore and includes a 560-room luxury hotel, an 83,000-square-foot casino and Emeril Lagasse's restaurant, Emeril's Gulf Coast Fish House. Other dining options include a daily buffet, a casual grill and a 24-hour coffee shop. The View Bar hosts a happy hour every evening from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and live music on select nights.
