Western Ontario has an abundance of lakes, rivers and forests. Fishing in the western portion of the province is bountiful but often requires a float plane to get to. If you have a fishing trip planned in Ontario, there are tour operators and air charters that offer fly-in excursions. Anglers from outside of Canada need an Ontario fishing license, which can be purchased at sporting good stores or online.
