Tupelo is the largest city in Lee County, Mississippi, and the county seat. It has a resident population of just over 36,000, according to 2008 U.S. Census Bureau estimates. In addition to being known as the birthplace of Elvis Presley, the area is also ideal for outdoor enthusiasts who enjoy hiking or horseback riding on the Natchez Trace trailway amid beautiful blackgum trees or exploring the numerous exotic animals that live in Tupelo Buffalo Park.
