The Turkish province Balikesir is known for its small beach towns and the natural beauty of its beaches and mountains. Extending along the Aegean and Marmara coasts, deep blue water and dark green land attract tourists and locals to explore the area. Balikesir offers a rich center of historical remains, like the Yildirim and Zagnos Pasa Mosques in the city center.
