Brunch is one of the most enjoyable and relaxing ways to celebrate the weekend. Fortunately, Phoenix, Arizona has its fair share of brunch spots. Whether looking for a fancy feast, farm fresh produce or cozy diner hash, diners will find that Phoenix and its surrounds have much to offer on the brunch front.

Downtown Phoenix

If you want to have brunch in Phoenix's downtown area, try the following yummy options: Matt's Big Breakfast, located at 801 N. 1st Street, offers American classics in a cozy diner setting. Diners can get a reasonably priced basic breakfast all day, but be prepared for a wait. Sepna's Cafe at 1301 W. Grand Avenue is a delightful and healthy vegetarian and vegan-friendly brunch spot. Located at 1020 N. 1st Avenue in Roosevelt Square, Fair Trade Cafe is a great place to eat brunch while minding your culinary ethics if baked goods and excellent baristas are your cup of tea.

Fancier Fare

Chelsea's Kitchen at 5040 N. 40th Street has it all --ambiance, great service and prime rib hash. Chelsea's brings an upscale twist to American classics. If diners plan to be near Scottsdale, Dragonfly Cafe, located at 10135 E. Via Linda, will satisfy their gourmet brunch desires. It is recommended to try one of their skillets or the whole grain pancakes. For exceptional French Toast, there is Toast at 2327 N. 7th Street. Diners should also try their egg sandwich which they tout as the world's best.

Farm Style Brunch

Fans of fresh, farm style dining should head 24 miles southeast of Phoenix. The modern suburb of Gilbert, which used to be primarily agricultural land, offers farm fresh brunch options.

The Farmhouse is located at 228 N. Gilbert Road. For farm fresh eggs, great portions and a good value, diners can't beat this 1920s farmhouse turned restaurant. With a water fountain play area in back, the kids will enjoy this spot, too. There is often a wait.

Those who have an appetite should try Joe's Farm Grill, known for its exceptional pancakes and sweet potato fries. Located at 3000 E. Ray Road, Joe's uses ingredients from the urban farm at Agritopia. The food prices may be a bit higher, but the rural orchard atmosphere and the delicious food are worth it. As a bonus, Joe's is dog-friendly.

Located at 230 N. Gilbert Road, Liberty Market is another excellent brunch option. Guests enjoy a Sunday morning jolt at the vintage espresso bar, or treat themselves to a fresh cinnamon roll or a cup of cocoa.
