Visiting the Children's Museum
Children will delight in visiting the Children's Museum of Indianapolis. Activities include digging for dinosaur bones, learning how blown glass is made and taking a step back in time to the "Age of Steam." Story Avenue and Playscape are activities designed specifically for pre-schoolers. The Children's Museum of Indianapolis welcomes large group outings and school field trips.

Ice Skating at Ellenberger Park
Ellenberger Park Ice Rink offers speed skating as well as public skating periods. It also offers adult and youth broomball leagues. Ice skating lessons are also available. A concession stand is on site. The facility may be reserved for birthday parties or family reunions.

Eyes Open Basketball
Eyes Open Basketball is open to males in sixth through 12th grades. Youth will participate in basketball games, presentations, group discussions and a study hall. There is no cost to participate in this program.

Gondola Rides on the Indianapolis Canal
Ride in a gondola like those found in Venice, Italy. You will be serenaded while a guide paddles you through the canal past downtown Indianapolis. These boat rides are available from May until September each year, and dinner may also be served on one of the gondolas with advance registration.

Visiting the Indianapolis Zoo
The Indianapolis Zoo has animal exhibits, an aquarium and a botanical garden. It also offers a dolphin program that affords visitors the chance to see dolphin training up-close and even don wet suits and accompany the trainers in a small pool. Here they can meet dolphins face to face. There are also rides at the zoo, including pony rides, a carousel and White River Junction Train.

Indianapolis Marion County Public Library
The Indianapolis Marion County Public Library offers a number of classes for children, including computer classes, women's history exhibits and an international explorer program. Baby story time is given at the Irvington Branch, while family story time is presented at the Eagle Branch. There are play dates at the Fountain Square Branch.
