Big Bear is the perfect mountain getaway. Located just a few hours from San Diego and Los Angeles, this Southern California resort town has warm summers and snowy winters. While staying here, you can hike in the San Bernardino National Forest, fish, boat or swim in Big Bear Lake or hit the slopes at a local ski resort. There are several companies in Big Bear that specialize in cabin rentals. Together, they have more than 400 different cabins and condos for rent.

Big Bear Vacations has more than 300 cabins for rent near the ski slopes, village or lake. In addition, there are 11 fully equipped lakefront properties at Shore Acres Lodge, which is approximately two blocks from Big Bear Lake. The lodge has its own swimming pool, spa, boat dock, playground and beach.

Every cabin available to rent comes with fresh towels, linens and blankets and is cleaned before each reservation. They also have a fully equipped kitchen and grill for outdoor cooking. Some of the rentals also allow pets. You can book your rental either by phone or online.

Big Bear Cool Cabins

Big Bear Cool Cabins has more than 50 different cabins and condos for rent, from one to nine bedrooms, with lakefront and pet-friendly properties.

Each rental comes with fresh towels and clean linens and blankets and is cleaned by a cleaning crew before every new rental.

You are able to research each individual cabin by visiting Big Bear Cool Cabins' website. Many of the cabins and condos have fireplaces. Some also have gas grills, ping-pong tables, tennis courts, decks and boat docks.

Big Bear Lake Resort Association

The Big Bear Lake Resort Association has more than a dozen resort cabins available for rent. The cabins range in size from one to three stories. The smaller cabins are ideal for couples or small families, and the bigger cabins can accommodate large families or groups.

Some of the cabins for rent have swimming pools, Jacuzzis, fireplaces and daily maid service. They are located throughout Big Bear, and some are closer to the ski resort, the village or the lake. There is a management office in town that can assist with any concerns you might have during your stay.
