Perched right on the Potomac River, the Chart House is a good waterfront Alexandria, Virginia, restaurant for impressing out-of-town guests. Mai Thai
The upper floors of the Mai Thai offer views of the water, even though this restaurant is across a small grassy park area from the river's edge. Guests can have a bowl of Tom Ka Gai and a plate of Pad See Ew and watch the boats cruising up and down the Potomac. True to its name, the Mai Tai drinks are a sweet, delicious and strong concoction. But they do offer other alcoholic drinks, including a Lychee Martini, and plenty of non-alcoholic beverages. Diners might want to try the Lemon Ginger Iced Tea for a new twist on an old favorite.
