Maryland has a plethora of establishments that are a testament to how good breakfast can be. There are endless restaurants serving hearty and nutritious food that will get you ready to head out and start your day with optimum energy.

Jearbryo's

Situated near the county fairgrounds, Jearbryo's serves budget-friendly breakfasts, lunches and dinners. The cuisine is Italian and the restaurant opens at 11 a.m., so the breakfast is more of a brunch. On the breakfast menu you'll find hearty fare such as sweet potato pancakes and biscuits. If you decide to stroll back into this place in the evening, some dessert menu standouts you may love: Sinful Seven cake and the homemade potato chips served hot from the fryer. Jearbryo's also provides free wireless Internet.

Canoe on the Run

Canoe on the Run, located near the public park access and uphill from the lake, opens at 8 a.m. The place has a relaxed ambiance and is very bright, thanks to the humongous windows. The restaurant makes fair-priced caffeinated beverages, salads, soups and desserts. Many of the goods are homemade including the restaurant's specialty granola. Breakfast burritos and scones are also available in the morning.
