Located in Denville, Hunan Taste is right off of highway 80 across from Indian lake and just south of McCarter Park. Hunan Taste employs chefs from China who focus on traditional Hunan, Szechuan, and other dishes. The restaurant won first place in the 2008 New Jersey Monthly's Choice Award for "Best Chinese Food," and also received a 2007 "Wine Spectator" Award of Excellence. Hunan Taste has a "business casual" dress code, and recommends reservations.

China Chalet
China Chalet is located in Florham Park, just south of the Pinch Brook Golf Course. The chef, a native of Cheng Du, prides himself on serving a menu of authentic Chinese food, not the typical Chinese-American fare found at most Chinese restaurants. The extensive menu features poultry, beef, pork, fish, seafood and vegetarian dishes, as well as low-cholesterol selections. According to reviews, the dishes marked spicy on the menu at China Chalet are particularly hot and should be treated with caution. However, the menu has plenty of mild platters as well for those who aren't feeling as adventurous.
