The Amina Thai Restaurant is the first Muslim Thai Restaurant in the Rockville metropolitan area. Benjarong Thai Restaurant

Benjarong Thai Restaurant's decor reflects its name (benjarong means five colors in Thai and also represents painted porcelain, which may be found throughout the restaurant). Enjoy lunch or dinner every day of the week, with restaurant specialties such as gai yang benjarong (grilled dark meat chicken with lemongrass) and crispy duck basil. Appetizers include larb gai (chopped cooked chicken with rice powder), kanom jeeb (pork and shrimp steamed dumplings) and plah (shrimp or squid with lemongrass). Curry enthusiasts may select from gaeng ped yang (red curry duck with pineapple) and panang (red curry with coconut milk). Entrees include gra-tiam prik thai (meats with sauteed black pepper), lao dang (beef or shrimp with red wine sauce) and pu nim (crispy soft shell crabs). Noodle dishes and fried rice round out the menu. Desserts include key lime pie, sweet taro mousse and sweet sticky rice with mango. The restaurant can customize any dish for spice threshholds and does not use MSG. No alcohol is served, and attire is casual.

Thai Farm Restaurant

Stop into Thai Farm Restaurant for lunch Mondays through Saturdays and for dinner every day. Specialty entrees include talay curry (stir-fried seafood), tamarind chicken and lime salmon. Vegetarians may opt for choices such as pad tofu, pad tau kaek (spicy fried green beans) and pad watercress.
