Vermont's Route 7 runs through the western part of the state through towns, including Rutland and Middlebury, as well as recreational areas such as Green Mountain National Forest. This park presents tourists with opportunities for camping and mountain climbing as well as paths for hiking, including a segment of the Appalachian Trail on Bromley Mountain near Manchester.

Sugar House Motel

The Sugar House Motel is a cozy establishment located in Middlebury and provides its guests with access to areas such as Otter Creek, a body of water that offers opportunities for fishing and boating. The motel is also only minutes away from local Middlebury cycling trails, including the 48-mile Champlain Valley Cruise, which runs from Middlebury to the shores of Lake Champlain, as well as the trails on Chipman Hill, a site several miles north of town.
