The Hui Wa'a Kaukini Kayak Club is on the Island of Oahu and serves as a social and outing club for locals and visitors. There are organized kayak-fishing tours that take place routinely. If you are visiting Oahu, check online for current schedules of kayak-fish trips. According to the webmaster of the Hui Ka'a Kaukini Kayak Club, visitors are encouraged to join scheduled trips but will be asked to sign a release form before going on club tours. You can learn the techniques used by the local kayakers to land deep sea fish from kayaks without flipping or getting into danger. There are kayak rental companies available on Oahu. Bring sunscreen, a wide brimmed-sun hat and a camera.
